Everything from workwear to weekend wear — our full garment range

One of the biggest advantages of working with Garment Printing Australia is the sheer breadth of garments we decorate. We print and embroider on classic crew neck t-shirts and fitted fashion tees, casual and business shirts, zip-up and pullover hoodies, softshell and fleece-lined jackets, singlets and muscle tanks, and performance polos that carry logos with authority.

On the workwear side, we outfit entire trade and construction teams with printed and embroidered work pants, cargo shorts, hi-vis safety vests, and durable site shirts built to handle physical environments. For corporate clients and hospitality venues we regularly produce staff uniform sets combining embroidered polos, printed aprons, and branded caps into a cohesive look.

Sports clubs across the Northern Beaches rely on us for sublimated jerseys, training singlets, and warm-up jackets every season. Whatever the garment category, we have the method and machinery to decorate it properly.

The Decoration Methods Behind Every Finished Piece

Not every design suits the same process, and not every fabric responds the same way to heat, ink, or thread. That is why we maintain a full in-house suite of printing and embellishment techniques rather than locking clients into a single approach.

  1. Direct to garment printing, known as DTG, fires water-based ink directly into cotton fabric fibres using modified inkjet technology. The result is a soft-hand, full-colour print that handles photographic complexity without any screen setup, making it the smartest choice for small runs with detailed or multicolour artwork.

  2. Direct to film printing, or DTF, involves printing a design onto a special transfer film that is then heat-pressed onto the garment. Because the process is fabric-agnostic, it works across cotton, polyester, nylon, and blended textiles alike — giving us flexibility that other methods simply cannot match, particularly on items like nylon jackets, caps, and mixed-fibre workwear.

  3. Screen printing remains the backbone of high-volume custom apparel worldwide for good reason. Ink is pushed through a tensioned mesh screen directly onto the garment, building thick, vivid layers of colour that cure to an exceptionally durable finish. For spot-colour logos, brand marks, and text-based designs on large orders, nothing competes with screen printing on cost per unit or colour saturation.

  4. Puff printing is a screen printing variation that uses specialised expandable ink which physically rises off the garment surface during the curing process, creating a raised three-dimensional texture. It is the technique behind the premium tactile quality you see on high-end streetwear, collegiate merchandise, and luxury branded apparel — and it transforms an ordinary print into something you can feel.

  5. Dye sublimation pushes dye molecules directly into polyester fabric fibres under heat and pressure, producing prints that are technically part of the garment itself rather than sitting on top of it. Colours stay vivid through hundreds of wash cycles, edges can run to the very seam of the garment, and the process handles photographic gradients and all-over patterns without compromise. It is the go-to method for performance sportswear, cycling kits, and fully customised uniforms.

  6. Embroidery adds a dimension of professionalism and permanence that print alone rarely matches. Using multi-head commercial embroidery machines and digitised thread files, we stitch your logo, crest, or wordmark directly into the garment fabric. The result is tactile, sharp, and carries a quality signal that resonates strongly on polo shirts, corporate uniforms, caps, jackets, and staff workwear.

What local clients consistently value about working with us

Turnaround reliability matters enormously when apparel is tied to a site start date, a game day, a trade show, or a product launch. We quote turnaround honestly, hold to it, and offer genuine express options for urgent jobs rather than simply charging more for standard service. Colour consistency across a run whether it is twelve embroidered caps or three hundred screen-printed tees is non-negotiable in our production process, and we quality-check throughout rather than only at completion. Our pricing is transparent with no hidden artwork fees on standard jobs, and we are straightforward about which method delivers the best result at your quantity rather than upselling the most expensive option.

FAQs

For DTG and DTF printing there is genuinely no minimum — one piece is a valid order. Screen printing and embroidery carry soft minimums where pricing per unit drops significantly at higher quantities, but we can accommodate single items when the method allows. We will always tell you at the quoting stage which options make sense for your quantity.

For screen printing jobs we mix inks to Pantone references, so if you supply your Pantone codes we can achieve precise brand colour matches. For DTG and sublimation we work in CMYK and calibrate our equipment regularly to keep output consistent, though an exact Pantone match is only achievable through screen printing. We send digital proofs before production so you can assess colour accuracy before committing.

Vector files — AI, EPS, or PDF with fonts outlined — are the preferred format for screen printing and embroidery digitising. For DTG and DTF, high-resolution PNG or TIFF files at 300 DPI minimum work well. If your files are not in the right format, our art team can reformat or rebuild artwork for a modest fee, and we will let you know upfront if that is required.

Sublimation dye bonds chemically with polyester fibres specifically, so it requires garments with a minimum of around 65% polyester content to produce acceptable results, and ideally 100% polyester for full vibrancy. On cotton t-shirts, singlets, or workwear we recommend DTG, DTF, or screen printing depending on your quantity and design.

Standard production runs between five and ten business days from the point artwork is approved, depending on the method and quantity involved. Express turnaround is available for time-sensitive projects and is confirmed at the quoting stage. We communicate any delays proactively and never simply let a deadline pass without notice.

Yes, we decorate client-supplied garments regularly. We recommend reaching out before you purchase blanks so we can confirm the garment construction and fabric composition is compatible with your chosen method — particularly for DTG which has cotton content requirements and sublimation which needs polyester-heavy substrates.

Yes, large corporate orders are a core part of what we do. We manage bulk uniform programs including size breakdowns, individual name embroidery, staged delivery schedules, and reorder management. We work with businesses from initial uniform specification right through to ongoing top-up orders as teams grow.

DTF printing produces full-colour photographic-quality transfers through a digital print-and-film process, making it suitable for complex logos and multicolour artwork with fine detail. Heat transfer vinyl involves cutting solid-colour sheets of vinyl and pressing them onto garments — it is durable and effective for simple bold designs but limited in colour complexity. We primarily use DTF as it is significantly more versatile for detailed custom artwork.

Absolutely. Cap embroidery is a popular service for corporate gifting, club merchandise, trade businesses, and events. Hats require a slightly different digitising approach to flat garments due to the curved surface and structured panels, and we account for that in our file preparation to ensure clean, accurate stitch output.
